Strong earthquake shakes Chile
A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck Chile on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake's epicenter was located 50.12 kilometers northeast of Lonquimay, at a depth of 52 kilometers. The earthquake was felt in the central region of the country, including the capital Santiago.
According to the University of Chile's Seismological Center, the earthquake reached a magnitude of 6.6 and was located 50.12 kilometers northeast of Lonquimay, at a depth of 52 kilometers.
The earthquake caused no injuries or damage.
