Manchester City took a huge step towards the Premier League title as Erling Haaland's double clinched a 2-0 win over Tottenham to send them two points clear at the top of the table.
Tottenham needed a win to keep their title hopes alive, but they were undone by Haaland's clinical finishing. The Norwegian striker opened the scoring in the 55th minute, tapping home from close range after a cross from Riyad Mahrez.
Haaland doubled his tally in the 70th minute, coolly slotting home a penalty after he was brought down by Hugo Lloris. The win moved City two points clear of Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Tottenham remain third but are now six points behind City with just five games remaining.
