The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets 115-70 in Game 6 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night. The win forces a Game 7 in Denver on Thursday night.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 27 points, while D'Angelo Russell added 22 points and Karl-Anthony Towns had 18 points. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 18 points, but he was held to just 6-of-17 shooting from the field.

The Timberwolves took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Nuggets 35-17. They continued to build on their lead in the third quarter, and they led by as many as 45 points in the fourth quarter.

The Nuggets never recovered from their slow start, and they were never able to get into a rhythm offensively. They shot just 34.4% from the field and 22.9% from three-point range.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, shot 50.6% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range. They also outrebounded the Nuggets 48-31.

Game 7 of the series will be played in Denver on Thursday night. The winner of that game will advance to the Western Conference Finals to face the Phoenix Suns.
